Importence in knowing more than one languae

I think that it is very importent to know more then one language so you can expand your knowlede and speak to more people. If you were to only speak one language you are very limited today in the united States with who you can talk to, because more and more people who dont speak english come here everyday. But if you were two speak  two diffrent languages you would be able to commincate with more than one type or ethnicity of people. I also think that if you learn a new language that you are more into there culture and look more into and understand about the people and their language.

Current Event #1

    In the article that I choose it dicusses how last week five gang members confessed to setting fire to the casino Monterrey. About 52 people total were kiled during this fire. The five gang members only did this because the owner of the casino did not do what he was suppose to do. The article also states that even thugh they did confess they also had scientific proof, that they commited the crime. they five gang member supposidly never had the intention of hurting anybody, they only wanted to harm the casino. In the articel one of the last things it states was how unsafe it is around there. In 2010 two mayors were assinated and last month four civilians were wounded by two grenades.
